First year testing our home brewn liquid fertilizer

This was our first year using Jadam liquid fertilizer, a Korean recipe, that everybody can brew at home. Together with a careful bed preparation, we achieved more tomatoes than ever. I have stored tomato sauce for all winter. They grew very quick and stayed healthy for a long time. The tomatoes reached 2 meters of height. The seed were originally from Rareseeds heirloom tomatoes and now the third year already our own seeds.

This is really cool to see, thanks for sharing! Is the feed recipe available online somewhere? I'm just about to plant our tomatoes out this week ๐Ÿ˜„

Making Jadam fertilizer is pretty simple. You fill a bucket with grass clippings, add water (rain water is best), and you add a handful of your compost or leaf mold and if you have at hand 5% sear water (or a little sea salt). Then let if ferment for three months at normal temperature. Turn once in a while.

So .. sorry .. will not be ready for your tomatoes :-) .... you may add besiede the grass, other leaves or for instance fruits that you do not want to consume, thus enriching the fertilizer furthermore.
Jadam is a farming method from Korea. I used only the fertilizer so far .. https://jadamfarming.com/natural-fertilizers-in-jadam-farming/

Sorry for the slow reply!

I've made a note to try this for next season. It will be interesting to see how the results compare. Usually I use store bought tomato fertilizer or make my own feed from nettles steeped in water for a few weeks.

I imagine the smell isn't too pleasant!
